RED ARROWS – and Other Restrictions – 2008

The Reds ‘start’ tomorrow, April 1st – let’s “let the public watch” this year without the bad press of “called off” displays and all the physical danger of an interruption mid-display.

I’ve put the latest known ‘restrictions’ and other info for 2008 up on FlyOnTrack ( as known 31/3/08 )- See http://www.flyontrack.co.uk and look for the item in hot news, about 2nd down, with the ‘eyes’.

As well as reference to relevant AICs on various restrictions, you can read directly about:

THE RED ARROWS – PLANNED DISPLAYS
WEST WALES AIRPORT Resrticiton (ABERPORTH) JANUARY-JUNE
MANCHESTER LOW LEVEL ROUTE VRP CHANGES – 1 MARCH
ROBIN HOOD AIRPORT – NEW VISUAL REFERENCE POINTS
FARNBOROUGH LARS (Info, not Restriction)
CHILBOLTON 1 APRIL- 2 MAY
SOUTHEND AIRSHOW 25-26 MAY
AERO EXPO 2008 – WYCOMBE AIR PARK 13-15 JUNE
OLD WARDEN EVENTS 2008
DUXFORD EVENTS MAY-OCTOBER 2008

Remember – ‘DSC’ provides an unofficial e-mail warning service of TRAs as they approach, see http://fly.dsc.net/u/Notams and of course NOTAMs (http://www.ais.org.uk) can be checked before flying, and the final safety net is the 0500-354802 freephone before every flight
