Goodbye Leicester Airport?

There’s quite a few run down areas, as in any city, that could easily be brought up to standard again, without getting rid of our lovely airfield! Plus reduces emissions from construction vehicles bringing in raw materials etc etc

This has been instigated solely by the Co-op. The question is will the government allow a massive surburb of Leicester to created? They seem rather reluctant to build a single cul-de-sac these days despite all the hot air about additional housing requirements.
