A trial lesson will explore the effects of controls, which is basically the first lesson any PPL does. If you want to do a PPL, let the instructor know because he may get many through who just want to go on a jolly and fly over their house. The lesson is loggable.
Assuming you have a two-seat Cessna 152 booked. Can you upgrade to a Robin 200 for a fiver more? Trust me with low wing, bubble canopy given a fab view and stick controls, you’ll enjoy the Robin more. But given the origins of my name, I am biased 😀 The Robins are also a good 20 years younger than the Cessna.
