SYWELL AVIATION MUSEUM – FLY IN AND SEE US!

Shameless plug (sorry) FLY IN AND SEE US!

WHEN WERE YOU LAST AT SYWELL….? 🙂

“On Easter Saturday April 7th Sywell Aviation Museum opens its doors for the 2007 season, thereafter is open from 10.30 to 16.30hrs every weekend and bank holiday until the end of September. Group visits are available outside those times – so if you belong to a group who would like a tour please contact us!

The Museum is located adjacent to the aircraft viewing area, next to The Aviator Hotel, bar and restaurant and is a perfect afternoon out – especially for children.

All displays have been completely overhauled and refreshed for 2007 and include a brand new wartime kitchen, aircraft ordnance display – including Sidewinder air to air missile! Visitors can see displayed (for the first time in 90 years!) a Zeppelin bomb dropped on Northampton in 1917, as featured in TV’s Look East late last year.

Our brand new display for 2007 is of Wartime and Aviation toys including tinplate, clockwork trains and novelties many made by Mettoy and Bassett-Lowke of Northampton

For the grand opening on April 7th our friends from the Troops Trucks & Stores Military Vehicle Group will be bringing their collection of wartime military vehicles including jeeps, lorries and an armoured American M3 Halftrack!

Entry is free but donations are welcome! We look forward to seeing you there!

Cheers all
