Jim's Christmas

Hi All,
I just wanted to ask all the forumites to take time and think of others over the Christmas period and in particular one of our members Lincoln7 better known as Jim. Just a simple Happy Christmas or similar would make this Christmas more bearable for him so I will get the ball rolling.

:eagerness: MERRY CHRISTMAS JIM AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR! :eagerness:

Geoff.

Whilst I tend to think Christmas is the most over rated time of the year and it leaves me rather melancholic for younger days when all my family were still around, I also think its a good time to say up yours to the year that has passed and all the nasty bits it brought. Jim you are not alone when everyone on this forum cares about you. I reckon 2015 is going to be better for you mate and even though I am some what quieter on the forum of late, I am still about if you want to message me.

I agree Paul, it is just ONE day, but it should be with family and friends, however, there is a lot on T.V. worth watching. Perhaps you can send me a P.M. as I seem to have lost your phone number.
Anyone else who has posted on here, who would like a chat, can P.M. Tony T who will give you my mobile. It would be nice, Once again, I have to say thanks to all of you that have posted kind words.
Jim.

Jim,Once you cut through all this commercialism crap Christmas is one friggin day. A lot of people are lonely, argue with the family, spend to much on stuff they have had to buy and is probably wrong anyway. Get in your car and get out into the country and enjoy the scenery. I have been their and done that it clears your head of all outside pressures. If you have six foot of snow my suggestion will be a non starter.

Jim

I think most of us know it hasn’t been your best year, but remember you’re still around and still you, have the best Christmas you can and best wishes for the bright shiny untouched year to come.

Good luck Gil

Hi Guys. Thanks for you kind remarks, and good wishes. This will be my first Christmas alone, in 73 yrs. Quite a lot has happened this year, as most of you will be aware of. But, just as you think things cannot get any worse, on Dec 1st, I had to have my dog put to sleep at the Vets, she was 11 yrs old, and she had a large tumor that had swiftly spread. No more wagging tail and a welcoming bark when I came down in the morning, no more sitting by my side whilst I sat in my chair. They say mans best friend is his dog, and how true that is. However life must go on, but I will miss her more than anything. I am not bothering to put Christmas decs up this year, just out of respect of losing a good old faithful friend.
Thanks Geoff for starting this Post, it means a lot to know I still have friends who care. I must mention TonyT, who has kept a Fatherly eye on mr since May, we speak every night and we have a good laugh, and a bit of ribbing.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and a happy New Year. But most of all good health.

Jim.

Not so much Happy Christmas (which can be a desperate time for those living alone,) but you have my sincere wishes that 2015 will be a helluva lot better, for you, than 2014.

Jim
all best wishes for the turning-year and mid-winter festivities (how politically correct of me ! ).
