Bear Hunting In London

To coincide with ‘Paddington Bear The Movie’ hitting the cinemas in early November, there are 50 Paddington Bear statues in various locations around London that have been designed by various celebrities and artists. They are not randomly placed but in trails that you can follow. The problem I found is that the location of them on the map you can download from the Paddington Bear Trail Web Site is rather liberal compared to the location of them on the ground. The one on Horseguards is actually outside the entrance to the Cabinet War Rooms, the one in Downing Street is in Whitehall, the one at Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! in Picaddilly Circus is actually on the other side of the road to the shop and I never found the one that was supposed to be in Parliament Square. Some of the bears are to auctioned from next week with the proceeds going to the NSPCC.

I thought this might have something to do with Tupolevs. I remember they did something similar with plastic animals in Edinburgh. Again, they were plastered with various artwork.

Brian,
I am a tad disappointed – thought it was “Beer Hunting in London”! Must get my goggles checked! 😀

Can we smuggle one up to Duxford and equip him with a camera bag and long lens DSLR? :highly_amused:
