Nice to see the piece on the One Show but I did smile to myself when they were talking about Peter Twiss and the Fairey Delta 2 while showing pictures of Neville Duke and Hunter F.3 WB188! 🙂

That model of the Miles M-52 that Eric Brown was holding looked a bit dodgy – more like a model Zeppelin than a Mach 1 testbed.

You could see the stringers beneath the tissue covering….. 😮

Not a bad little piece on ‘breaking the sound barrier’ though – although what prompted the program??

No anniversary that I can think of…..

Well they had some nice (if brief) footage of the Hawker Hunter prototype and the red one which broke the sound barrier.

Following that at 22.00hrs on National Geographic Channel (526) is Monster Moves, ‘raising a Fokker aeroplane from the bottom of Lake Charron’, wherever that is. It’s probably a modern Fokker but, hey, who’s quibbling?:D

Nah, it’s an old Fokker all right and a repeat.

After the problems that come with elections we have decided that Key has the final say in the moderator selection. We will in most cases select the mods from within the ranks and some even volunteer. The selection process however is very thorough to ensure we get the right person. Hope this clears things up.

I’d like to say good luck to AndrewM, from someone who’s been there and done it.

As for the above reply from webbie… Er what was the problem with the democratic process exactly? I don’t recall any major issues other than from certain candidates who forgot to put their hat in the ring ?

Great… Now we have a random Irishman as a Mod. This place goes more and more downhill by the day.

Only joking! Glad to see you’re active now Andrew. I almost didn’t believe you on MSN… 😀

Now where was I? Ah yes, FlyBE’s website checking out BHD…

A very good choice IMO. I personally am happier with Key Pub choosing their own moderators (based on what they see on the board) as it stops the bickering that seems to go on after elections. After all it is their train set.
