It’s a longshot, but I might as well ask here…there is a nice local 57 MGA for sale. I was surprised that the dah was body colour and not crinkle-finish black. How did they come from the factory?

A ‘member’ at our gliding club in zimbabwe had a lovely MGA….one night or early morning after a session in the GC bar he did a flick half roll in it at the end of the runway,no roll bar so very lucky to get away with it … but the car was badly flattened out on the top surfaces 😮 !

Body colour, but a lot of people had the urge to paint them and also buy a walnut kit for it(repulsive)

Maybe best ask at an MG enthusiasts’ forum? I bet there is one

I know there is, I was just looking for a quick reply…
Here’s an interesting site I’ve found:

The answer for my particular question is they were body colour.

When they were still making MGAs I was just a lad in short pants.
I would have loved one though.
