Writer / Director Harold Ramis has died at the age of sixty-nine:

I had great respect for his writing ability, particularly ‘Animal House’ (1978) and ‘Caddyshack’ (1980), but I suspect he wrote at a particular time for a particular age-group and will best be remembered for acting in (and writing) ‘Ghostbusters’ (1984).

I did basic training at Fort Knox and will stop whatever I’m doing and watch “Stripes” whenever it’s on.

He was great in ‘Ghostbusters’, that is the only thing I knew him from. I think he was the best character in ‘Ghostbusters’.
