Has died aged 87. A major sports broadcaster and thanks to Private Eye’s Colemanballs will live on in the memory. Incidentally for those old enough to remember, both Peter Dimmock ex-commentator and Director of BBC Sport and Cliff Michelmore are still alive in their mid-90s.

Blimey,it proves how time flies i would never have guessed he was that age but i suppose 20 years have gone since he was a regular on TV.He was a class above some of the screaming drivel we have now.
Cliff Michelmore another good name from the past,did he also do the skiing programs?
