Balsall Common

An earlier thread on this subject queried the Heavy duty power supply that was evident near a large hangar building to the south/south-east of Balsall column. It has only recently dawned on me that the power supply outlet might have been for the Birmingham GM NDB and Outer Marker for runway 33. These were superceded some years ago when the GM and GX beacons were replaced by the current NDB/DME set-up.
