How time flies, today, is the 30th Anniversary, since Richard Noble set the new World Land speed record of 633.468 MPH. 😀
Soon in the near future, the Ausies, with their Aussie Invader will attempt to break our record.:apologetic:

As a slight aside – The North American Eagle team, who have converted an F104 into a “car” are planning an attempt on the woman’s LSR today – driven by Jessi Combs.

It must take a sizable pair to attempt 500+ mph in that thing… though by definition, hers are strictly metaphorical.

Hi Paul F, As my wife frequently sends me to “Coventry”, I may well stop off next time, and have a look. 😀
I get the News Letter from Aussi Invader, I think we have serious competition from them coming up, the amount of Companies, including the Australian Airforce, is giving them is astounding.

She’s housed there on a permanent basis Jim, along with Thrust SSC.
And, so far as I know, it’s still free admission to the museum, though you have to hand over a few quid for a simulator ride that “recreates” one of Thrust SSC’s fast runs.
Well worth a visit if you are in Coventry.
