Thread split as it was becoming confusing with three separate incidents being discussed.

That crash

The man in that crash was a good friend of my best mate.
You guys are being so nice and caring. Thanks.

It’s a tragedy, and yes, that plane did do banner towing.
What’s worse is that the Holiday camp have seized the airfield, so that makes two losses for my friend.

I came across this because I was wondering what the news coverage was like. People don’t seem to know the whole story.

Crikey West Sussex, thats abit close to home 😮 🙁
Ain’t heard anything about it, local news coverage in Sussex is poor 🙁
Normally the only aircraft we get in West Sussex are the ones going to Gatwick.

It was near a holiday site around the Bracklesham Bay Area ! Anna 🙁

Saw both accidents on the local news tonight.

Here’s the BBC report on the one near Selsey:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/southern_counties/4130226.stm

It was this Cessna 172.

Looked like it spun in judging by the wreckage. 🙁

Cheers
