Disgusted

at the sentence. 15 months for this nonce. Childrens innocence taken from them. The attorney general has been asked to review this. I hope he grows a pair and bangs him up for a great deal longer!!!!!!!!!!

His life is over now,he will either have to be a recluse or move abroad where people don’t know him.The sentence is too lenient in my opinion. His family and EX friends will have to deal with the consequences.

Prison Hospital, I hope someone castrates him with a rusty razor blade without pain relief!

Well, he should have got longer in my eyes, however Charlie

I thought not all of them were underage, ie some were 17 etc and pleading guilty one would imagine that was taken into account for saving these people the trauma of going taking the witness stand. Myself I would have given him 10 years as that should of seen him out, as for in prison, I think you will find he will be segregated from the populace.

I would think he will spend the 7 or 8 months he will actually serve in the prison hospital.

The world is going to the dogs, look at this case and THIS WAS the highest sentences that could be awarded,

I would of had them die in prison.

Indecent assaults on 13 underage girls = 15 months

I would have liked to see a longer sentence too, but there are perhaps other ways in which he will pay for his crimes. Remember, this is a man who seemed to crave public affection and adulation, but who is now universally reviled and despised as a paedophile. His career, his reputation, his whole life is in tatters, all his work undone with no hope now of ever putting things right. I suspect (and hope) these things wil torture his soul long after he leaves prison.

Law and Logic charlie is beyond me! I note a charge of rape is allowed to lie on file. What does that mean I wonder?

I saw one of the lawyers interviewed this evening, and he said that Hall could be out in a few months, maybe by Christmas.

Bizarre. So if you were convicted of a murder commited before 1964 you could be hanged…..I fail to follow the lawyers logic.

It would show that if you do these things there is a penalty. Not sitting at home in your nice comfy house with the money you have made over the years.

Can I ask you if your reply would have been the same had he murdered them?

Not really relevant methinks. The lawyer representing some of the victims was on the radio, he had no problem with the sentencing.

He went on to say that Hall was sentenced according to the penalties available at the time the offences were committed.

Indecent assaults on 13 underage girls = 15 months. Downloading child pornography = 10 months. Something not quite right there. I see the sentence is being reviewed by the AG’s office.

What would have been gained by putting him away for longer ?

It wouldn’t be sending messages to anyone.

Absolutely nothing Alan, now if he were 20 or 30 yrs younger, it would be a different story altogether.

I agree most strongly Paul, however at 83, and considering what the other inmates may “Do” to him, as it involved young kids, I doubt whether he will see the outside world again. I hope not.
