Visited the Aviation viewing area at Manchester this morning, and spent a few hours listening to the tower. Have never really listened to it much as I’m usually taking photographs all the time!
However I’m a bit confused over one of the holding points that aircraft landing on 06R are told to hold at until it’s clear to cross O6L.
The tower kept asking aircraft to hold at DELTA ONE, and when it was safe the tower requested the aircraft to cross 06L to DELTA THREE, but according to my Aerodrome chart both D1 and D3 are on the north (terminal) side of 06L, but DELTA ZULU 1 is on the south side of 06L.
Have they been re-designated recently (my chart/pdf is from 2003).

Delta one is just to the right of 06L , delta 3 is just on the other side, after you cross 06L, ordinarily I would never be able to remember that ! just so happens I did it yesterday, we landed on 06R, and of course had to clear 06L, ( Cathay CPA 1 freight B747-2)

I’m nipping out there this afternoon, hopefully they may be using 06R to land on and I’ll listen VERY carefully!!!

Its like that on my chart too, and I have the most updated one (Jan 2005).
You must have heard it wrong, or the controller must have got mixed up (very unlikely).
