Appear to be:
Glasgow to Faro, Palma and Geneva
Edinburgh to Palma and Faro
Stansted to Tenerife and Geneva.
All the Glasgow and Edinburgh flights appear to be once a week, but the Stansted flights are daily! They are entering a very crowded market there, more and more low cost airlines seem to be starting Tenerife recently.
On a very unrelated note…. Jet2 have put Faro on Sale for summer 2006 from LBA and MAN, yet another 2006 flight released incredibly early, they still havent put MAN-EDI,AMS on sale for the winter!

Are the new GSM flights being operated by a STN based aircraft?

I have never happened to find any. GB Airways are also cheaper from MAN and you are getting a full-service.

Indeed, fly GB if they are cheaper, never really researched their prices.
I always remember once though, I was comparing bmi Baby and Monarch from MAN, and Jet2 from LBA to ALC, and Monarch came out the cheapest, maybe that was just a one off.

I’m very surprised to see FlyGlobeSpan expanding at Stansted. Not somewhere particularly accessible to me, but the day they come to Gatwick (!!) I’ll give them a try.

Monarch can actually provide some very competitive fares, just depends when you look, especially since they did away with the drinks/food in the price.

Monarch still provide a number of ‘perks’ over locos as well, allocated seats (Can be prebooked I think), hot towels, Newspapers, IFE etc etc.

Some low cost scheduled airlines have been flying to Tenerife for years and years from Luton and offer a daily service from LTN, BHX and MAN this winter! 😉
I wouldn’t exactly call them “low cost”! 😉

I got a daytrip to GVA back in April 2004 for £25 from LPL.
I love the place, great city, plenty of trains to everywhere and cheap!

Agreed Flex, I was going to delete mine, but then I saw the reply from Dan, thought it was more worthwhile keeping the thread with comments on the subject, hope thats ok?

I guess there is no point of having two threads on the subject.
Hapenned to be posted at the same time. What a co-incidence
Might as well continue with this one. It has more info in and it has more replies than mine

I have also fancied Geneva, not the sort of place you can get for a day from this neck of the woods though, as you say, some great spotting locations and traffic there.
TFS daily is alot of capacity, say they are using a 738, thats over 1200 seats a week in either direction, makes Jet2s 3 weekly service with 752s look a bit weak!
Probably more demand from the south.

But back on topic, nice to see FlyGlobespan expanding.

Excellent! 😀 GVA is somewhere I’ve always fancied, good spotting locations and very varied traffic. And TFS is great, lots of cheap holiday prospects there.
