Aussie news

Six weeks after starting a scheduled service from Wollongong’s Albion Park regional airport, QANTAS Link are working over time, the reports have concluded that this service is more popular than first though with every flight over those initial six weeks having been booked to capacity.

Every seat on the flights has been taken on every flight, this has now forced QL to add aditional services through out the week and include some on Saturdays. This has come even without the introductory sale of tickets (QANTAS Red Seat sales- Melbourne from Wollongong only $95 one way), most passengers having paid full fair anyway.

QL is operating four DHC-8/400Q’s on thier service.

News announced today, QANTAS’s cheap airfare carrier Jetstar is to merge with Singapore’s cheap carrier Valuair. The deal will see Qantas stretch their service in to the heart of Asia.
