RIP Sir!

This bit deserves a mention

Moore lied about his age in order to join the RAF and fight in World War II at the age of sixteen, and from 1940 until 1945 he served as a navigator in RAF Bomber Command, reaching the rank of Flight lieutenant. He first received his flying training in Canada.

A sad loss indeed. It would be nice to think, that he now knows the answers to all those astronomical mysteries, he spent so much of his lifetime uncovering for us mere mortals to understand.

RIP Patrick, you’ll be sorely missed.:(

He took the time to respond to an 8 year old inky. A true gentleman and legend. The world will be a duller place with his absence.

That’s a shame. A genuine one-off.
