1. Qatada can’t be deported to Jordan because there is evidence to suggest that the Jordanian evidence against him was obtained through torture. I think it’s also right that he can’t be deported to a Country where he couldn’t be guaranteed a fair trial?
Although as you know the British government has been given assurances that evidence acquired illegally will not be used and that he will have a fair trail.

If he is such a bad person, why isn’t he charged with anything in the UK?
Presumably because he has not committed a crime in the UK.

Two things.
1. Qatada can’t be deported to Jordan because there is evidence to suggest that the Jordanian evidence against him was obtained through torture. I think it’s also right that he can’t be deported to a Country where he couldn’t be guaranteed a fair trial?
2. You mean the Martin McGuinness who was imprisoned for 6 months for the posession of explosives and ammunition?

No surprise that we can’t get your average illegal immigrant out of the country, when we can’t remove someone who can sponge off us for ever and continue to dish out his contempt and hatred for us.
Amazing how “brave” these rabble rousers are when their own skin is at risk, do anything to stay in a country under the protection of people he clearly despises.

Theresa may said in the article….
“Qatada is a dangerous man, a suspected terrorist, who is accused of serious crimes in his home country of Jordan.”
Yet she is content to engage in political dialogue with martin McGuinness, the Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland who is a man convicted of terrorist activities.
Go figure?

As usual Kev your spot on. But isn’t that what Politics are all about. I think the word “Turncoat” springs to mind.
