Once again a fantastic get together of our armed forces past and present. Their solitude and forbearance ensures we were captivated by their commitment to our Queen and Country.
Why is it that I am somewhat perturbed by the facial reaction of our politicians from the coalition partners and the opposition. Was it me or was there total distain and somewhat apathy for the Chelsea Pensioners and Forces Wives. Both were magnificent in their own right and fortitude. I will not approach the so called stars and their involvement.
Is it only me who despairs at this lack of appreciation at loss or disability of our forces during current & past conflicts.
This is from one who fortunately survived 39 year service relatively unscathed.

I just still always question in the back of my mind how a tiny three letter word – war – creates so many problems with such sadness, remorse, pain, anguish, disbelief, hatred amongst other things …
I always find it respectful to remember that if it wasn’t for the people who serve this country, we wouldn’t have a life like we do now and I think it’s important to remember that.
