I don’t think he’ll need to pay to advertise cruises for a long, long time…

“taxi for Mr Bryans…” 😀
I think it’d be quite an experience to see this vessel depart. Disaster aside the large ships of this time have to be some of the finest looking pieces of engineering ever created by man.

I have a sinking feeling about this…

Someone had to say it.

Yeah, I know. Hat, coat, taxi…

R101 or Hindenburg replica anyone?

I’ll pass on the R101 because of the old questions about its structure.
Hindenberg seemed to be okay if they’d only had helium. It’s earlier sister, the Graf Zepplin, had a safe and long career.

Ice baby

You should take into account that it had two fairly successful sister ships.

Only because they didn’t hit any Icebergs:D

I will probably try and get there to see it and photograph it.But I personally would not want to travel on it and feel unsure why anyone would want to build a replica of such a ship involved in such a notorious disaster.

Well presumably the “replica” aspect will not include the defects of the original!

Hindenburg would be neat! Maybe they could get helium this time. Not sure the Govt would go for the flight control method used by the big airships tho.

I wonder how many lifeboats this one will have and will they be open to the elements?
