Actor Simon Ward, who amongst other things starred in the WW1 film Aces High, has died aged 70 after a long illness. He will be remembered as the pilot (Crawford, i think) who in the film claimed to be suffering from Neuralgia, to avoid going out on flying missions whilst attached to a squadron on the front line flying SE.5’s (replicas). He also starred in Judge John Deed and more recently in The Tudors.
RIP Simon.

Aces High is one of my all-time favourite films. I recently acquired the novelisation of the film from eBay.
RIP Simon.
