I was told yesterday of an App for the Ipad, called “Plane Finder”, costs about a Fiver, but worth it.
I downloaded it at about 23.00.there was hardly anything flying anywhere over the U.K. and you get a road map graphic, and you can see ALL the civiie aircraft coming in from overseas, when they land at say Heathrow, speed, hieght, type of aircraft, where it has come from. Covers a lot of Europe, and you can see them actualy moving in real time. I can see me spending many happy hrs looking at whats flying above me.
May be worth considering buying.:)It’s 09.20 now, and looking at Heathrow, it’s hectic!!
Shame it’s not got Military aircraft on it, but the reason is blatently obvious why, when you think about it.

As I live on the flight path for LBA it’s interesting to known what’s passing my house.
Don’t forget to turn the landing light off when you go to bed.(The old ones are always the best;))
Seriously, the Air Traffic Controllers have a hard time,The amount of traffic lined up and taking off today was amazing, the stress those guys must go through, cannot be appreciated.
They earn every penny.I.M.H.O.

Sounds a bit like flightradar, the free version gives basic info but the upgrade provides full details same as on the website
