After the post here to say fuel was cheap at Lee on Solent I dropped in there today. Before going I had to call the Police Air Support unit and fax them my insurance, to show I had MOD indemnity, and then called up Thruxon Aviation Services to tell them I was coming.
The fuel was £1:15 a litre and the guys were very helpful when the Dearwings wouldn’t start properly.
AND I got to fly my own aeroplane off the runway I first flew off when i was 14 years old.

£1.30 at Leicester including VAT. Just back from Portugal and it is much cheaper there probably due to a lower rate of duty.
