TFS-AMS 15th July TRA

Back again, for the last time(this trip). Here are my pictures from my way back to Holland. Our departing time was 19:40 so we had still had a nice day at the swimmingpool. Last chance to get a tan because we knew it was raining on Holland. So when it was time to leave we took the tourbus towards the airport. When we arrived the fun began 😉 . 1 hour and 10 minutes delay, looking at the screen I say more flight were delayed so maybe it was just busy in the skies that they had to chop a couple of routes in. The in-check counter opened normal time so we didn’t have to wait at all. The security went fast and took something to eat. Here is the information board showing our delay (HV678) with some other.

Tenerife is mostly dominated by airlines from the UK and Germany such as Thomson, Easyjet, Monarch and Air Berlin. Binter Canarias operates some routes to the other islands nearby.

I also knew that this flight would not be operated by a Transavia airplane. We had the PH-BXU so that’s a KLM aircraft, wich I did not like at all, give more info on that later. Enough time to walk around, here is a Easyjet A319 deboarding pax, how much bagage can you stack on one card?

Finally our aircraft arrived. Just as usual I made a quick chat in the cockpit. Delay was caused mostly to a lot of traffic in Amsterdam and wind enroute, so we now had 150 km/h winds in the tail. Again this Transavia pilots were friendly and were waiting for the weight and balance sheet because they did not know that on this KLM aircraft. Again asked if the jumpseat was occupied on departure. It wasn’t so I was able to sit there, fortunately moments for pushback we discovered that the seatbelts were missing 😕 so I was going back to the other passengers.

Already out of my temper I went to my seat:10F, then I saw I had a misaligned window wich made photography difficult, also there was no inflight movie because there were no screens and there wasn’t any radio installed in the seats.
I tried to make some shots over the shoulder of the pax in front (he was sleeping fast so that was nice).

Departure runway was 08 so straight out with a little bank to the left.

Island in the back is Gran Canaria or Fuerteventura.

Cruising at FL380, when the sun was going down. Again I was on the other side of the aircraft so it was dark pretty fast.

Cool colours.

And the last one, because making pictures in the dark is useless.

We landed about 30 mins behind the normal time, we were home at 4am.

So that was my trip report of my vacation on Tenerife. Overall I’ve been on Fuerteventura*2, Lanzarote, La Gomera and Tenerife. My favorite now is Tenerife especially the nightlife is the best out of these 4. For the beach you must go to Fuerteventura and for spotting possibilities you have to go to Lanzarote. If you want a calm vacation without busy streets and other things you have to go to La Gomera. 😉 . Maybe going to again Tenerife next year.

Hope you guys liked my report.

Kinds regards,
Maikel van der Heijden

Ps: I also made a report of a couple of thips I made on the islands themselves, including dolphins and mountain trips. I you guys want I can post them here. Just give a post and they are on.

Nice shots and report

Just for note, that easyjet is infact an Airbus A320

And Steve, nope that was Tenerife North, which caters for alot of domestic services between the island and Spain. Tenerife South is where the charters and most other international airlines are.

That’s a very nice report…is this the same airport that was the scene of the Worlds greatest aviation disaster between the Pan Am and KLM 747’s???

A very enjoyable report. Loved the sunset pictures, looks cool with the sun lighting up the winglet.
