Hello guys,
I bought a new camera a few months ago, but I never seem to find the time to learn how to use it. But yesterday, I did fnd some time to practice. I went to the airfield of Kortrijk Wevelgem in Belgium. Here are the first results:
First plane might be of some interest. It is a brand new Rockwell 690B Turbo Commander, imported to Belgium one month ago. This new plane has registration OO-ROB. The owner of this plane also operates 2 Stampe SV4 biplanes (OO-SVS and OO-VSV).

Don’t often see the words ‘lovely’ and ‘R44’ in the same sentence :p
Thanks for the pics.

Thanks Neal!
I know these pics aren’t perfect (yet). I think I shal need to find a better spot to take pics at this airfield. The planes are just flying too high when they pas the local group of spotters. I took that cub pic on the oposite side of the field.
Regards,
J.V.

Did someone notice that I’m more experienced with historic aviation? 😮
Well, let’s make it a Rockwell then.

Jochen that converted Islander is indeed a good looking one. This conversion, which is a very difficult one as all original Islander parts are removed/replaced is better known as the “Rockwell 690B Turbo Commander” :diablo: :diablo: :diablo:

Well it seems Islanders can be made to look attractive. The turboprops, winglets and paint scheme looks purposeful. That HR200 is a nice aeroplane by the way 😉
Wot camera have you got?
By: Stieglitz - 27th March 2005 at 10:42
There is one thing I know for shure after my short experience with this camera: I got a very good zoom-lens which gives more options than my minolta. I can get better pics from a distance now. I also know I shall need to practice a lot more before I start to take RAW pics. But I still have good hopes that I shal be able to handle the camera a bit in time for LFA.
But it is an improvment for shure Roger!

Hi Jochen,
Are you happy with the gear so far? And is it an inprovement over the Minolta?
