God was on my side in the first few days of the Year.
I was decorating the upstairs North Wing Bog. It was bare plaster walls and “The boss” wanted it walloping with Silk White emulsion. So, knowing it would take 3 coats, the first coat was some old Matt White, and a large glug of PVA. I added 15% water to it too.
Well, it was too much water, the solution did not give me a good enough base to work on and I wasn’t convinced the PVA was sealing the plaster.
The Bible told me to “Repaint, repaint, and thin no more!”
I sanded it down as best I could and did the same but without the water. All fine. (Took 4 coats total to get blindingly white and teh Boss was happy and I added Brownie points in the integrity bank)
