Went over to Stoughton (Leicester) on Saturday to have a play with my new Canon EOS 300D. The weather was really dull so the photos are a little dark but I thought I’d post a few here.
Here ya go then.

I spent another hour or so at Stoughton today snapping away, mainly 152’s and PA-28 movements but this Chippie turned up.
The Chipmunk definitely my best photo yet and a quick pic of my usual mount.

Ahhh, the 75-300 has been my workhorse “long” lens until yesterday when the weighty-but-beautiful 70-200 f2.8L IS USM turned up! 😀
I’ve yet to have a chance to point it at a plane, but I’ll post the results on here if they’re not embarassingly bad. (And if they are embarassingly bad it just proves that an expensive lens doesn’t create talent!)
Of course, if anyone wants a 75-300 there’s a bargin to be had on eBay at the mo! 😉
Look forward to seeing more of your photos.
cheers,
Elliott

Cheers chaps.
Elliott, the lens I was using was a Canon EF 75-300mm zoom lens, nothing as lengthy as Robbo’s. Oo-er. 😮
Can’t wait to use it again.
I wonder if i’ll be as snap happy as Robbo. Nah, probably not. 😀

Lens question
Hi Neal,
Just a quick question – what lens(es?) were you using to get the shots – they’re nice and clear, even despite the overcast conditions!
cheers,
