Earth like planet discovered

Alright, its 600 light years away but, its the first in ‘the habitable zone’ around a star to be found.

I guess astromony will be the only way we will find life on other planets by analyzing atmosheres of these discoveries. However, further guess we are a number of years away from doing this.:o

light

If we had the right equipment we could reach it within our lifespan. (Time dilation).

Say a 60 year lifespan, a hundred light years every ten years=10 times the speed of light, that got to be some real serious equipment seeing as our fastest spacecraft only do about 1% the speed of light, but who knows were
we will be in a couple of thousand years

If theres inteligent life there, I wonder if they have better economies, Because theres no inteligent life here and we don’t.

I hope there’s intelligent life there, ’cause there’s ******-all down here!

National Aeronautics and Space Administration Monday announced the discovery of a possible Earth-like planet in the so-called “Goldilocks zone.” That means it might be charitable. The world could be able to support life as it is known to us. The world, 600 light-years away, is dubbed Kepler-22b. It was detected by the orbiting Kepler room telescope. Studying this world will be the next big National Aeronautics and Space Administration undertaking if it is viable for humans. http://www.newsytype.com/13826-planet-could-support-life/

The discovery of this planet opens to many possibilities that there may be other planets out there that are also habitable. There might be also living creatures with the same intelligence to human or even higher. Who really knows? The distance of this new found planet is 600 light years away from us. It is very impossible for us to reach the place. I guess we leave this problem to the next generation. After all, we are all digging things out for them.

duxfordhawk. Couldn’t agree with you more. Is there any specific reason why we need 650 or thereabouts M.P.s and a House of Lords?. Even the USA don’t have that many, or many more Countries.likewise.

C’mon guys and galls whats your opinion, do we need all that many?.

Jim.

Before Human Mankind can set a foot on this planet, Health & Safety will have to do a complete risk assesment…..Heck they may have kids playgrounds with rides that are deemed dangerous to visiting astronauts ?????
