Being in such close proximity to low flying aircraft, it would be haven for spotters and photographers

I’m even more convinced now that the first photo isn’t real.

The aircraft in the second one is much higher (relate the size of the aircraft to the size of the people in each photo), also if you relate the position of the aircraft to the position of the white writing on the road one or the other aircraft is way off the runway centre line.

Still haven’t convinced me. lol.

Surprised theres no big shadow

If you look at the far right of the photo Spence you’ll see part of a shadow about a fifth of the way up the photo.

tell you something, that double decker bus isn’t far away from the underside of the 320, gees

It’s an optical illusion, if you look carefully, the bus is way past the underside of the Airbus, spectacular shot though!!!!!

Also if you search for other pictures from that airport there are a few others like that. Looks like a great place.

The people are mostly looking at something off to the left of the picture. Even the people to the left of the picture, like the guy on the bike, are looking away from the aircraft.

If an A320 was that low over your head, surely even non-enthusiasts would be looking up, if not diving for cover.

Don’t forget these approaches are the norm in Ilheus. The local people will be quite used to seeing them, and they are probably not really bothered/interested in them because its such a regular occurence.

What do you think?
