Cross the road and walk up the steps up the banking. Follow the path past the new fire station, drop down the valley, cross the footbridge over the River Bollin. From here photos of aircraft rotating on Runway 24L or touching down on Runway 06R can be taken with ease.
Its a good 10-15 min walk, I never really go all the way down the runway. :p

Cheers, I’ll give it a try next week 🙂

Just need to work out how to get towards the far end of 24L (hint hint!)

I loved it.. a LOT quieter (in the terms of people that is!). Honestly didn’t realise just how close you can get to 24L/06R 😮
It’s a lot more relaxing, will definatley be my choice for spotting / photography in the future.
Only drawback is not so many ammenities around…so packed lunches it is.
On the second day, got fairly close to the 24R threshold and saw my first go-around too! (post some pics later)

Excellent shots! All of them are very clear and crisp too. 😀
I think that Saudi pilot set the trim a bit low on that take-off! 😉
