Also went a little further west and had a look for a really sweet little church I spotted from the train a couple of months ago…phew managed to find it and we were not disappointed…

Here a few pic of bugs & beetles, taken in Greece last month. Any thoughts on what an ant could want a rose thorn for?
A tooth pick? Alright I’ll get my coat.

I have been meaning to get a pic of this roadsign for months…although it looks like a poor quality pic at first glance – it is actually a roadsign obviously built up from horizontal slats and during some winter gales…well as you can see – it has gone a little ‘Picasso’ : )

Hello
Back in the summer I spent an interesting few hours at the Sheffield Steam & Vintage Rally. Here are some photos:-
A collection of minis greeted vistors as they arrived, including these baby versions:-

Several vintage trucks as well:-

I’m not sure they got the sign right for this exhibit:-

These collapsable motorbikes were designed for use by paratroopers:-

It was the steam engines that most visitors were interested in though – they came in all sizes:-

And included several rollers;-

The amount of steam in the air added to the atmosphere of the event:-

I hope the photos are of interest – more can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/82124866@N06/

I know that this isn’t strictly “photography” – but seeing as this is a non-aviation thread after all, I thought I’d post these on my joyous celebratory day 🙂 I’m so so happy! 😀
