Just found this. I know you need to make sure your private car insurance is extended to airside of airfilelds and wondered if this has met with a prop at some time. What do you guys reckon ?

I think you will find that normal car insurance over in the UK has a clause stating vehicle not covered on any aircarft manouvering area or airfield boundary. remember this if you have PPL!!

look at the line of the bottom edge of the cuts, from the rear of the pickup it slants down, but is above the wheel where is passes it. imho.

They may have changed the wheel to facilitate moving the truck to the position in the picture (Which is patently not where the accident happened unless the aircraft had no wings.)
