Sunday night I took Mrs. Sgt.Austin to see Dolly Parton in concert. I arranged it as a birthday treat for her (the wife that is, not Dolly, :D). My Mrs is a big fan and is still on a high from the show. I’m not a particular fan but I must say it was a great night which I also enjoyed. Anyway, my Mrs insisted that we wore cowboy hats for the occasion. Mine was from the £1 shop and had tiger stripes, believe me I was alone in that choice!
Just before the show started a photographer spotted us and approached and asked if he could take our picture. I told him to go for it and we posed in our hats with big cheesy smiles. He thanked us and then I asked him what it was for, thinking there was a silly hat contest. He just said in a southern drawl “it’s for Dolly”. I didn’t see him take anyone else’s picture.
I suppose it’s a sort of honour really but do we have any Dolly fans on here that knows what she would do with a picture of me and the Mrs? Keep any suggestions clean!

But what is not clear is if the photographer took the photo for Dolly, because he thought she would enjoy it, or if she saw the two of you and asked him to take the photo. You should write to her, via her agent, and ask if she would sign a copy and send it to you.:)

Dolly Parton, The Queen of Country Music!!!!!!
Both my Wife and I are tremendous fans of her talent and business acumen.
We have nearly 1,000 songs of hers in our collection. For 65 years old she is red hot. her voice just seems to get better with age. I could go on and on about her but I think I will leave it there as I am sure you get my drift by now!
If you want to see her “Backwoods Barbie Concert” It was rerun on BBC 2 last Friday so it is on I Player for a couple more days.
I have no idea why she wanted your picture though it seems very strange.
I am as jelous as hell though!
