I Bought a new Lens the Sigma 150-500mm IS lens, But Due to work i havent been able to go out until this weekend that is, i went to glasgow on sunday and he weather was scortching after a hazy start got off some shots but as i tried to use the setting i was using for the 70-300mm :stupid: i found that it was’nt right and with the 150-500 i forgot the diameter wasnt the same a the 70-300 so most of the shots had the fence:apologetic::stupid: but went back over on the mon and tried again and got some better results and less fence theis time:applause::applause::applause::applause:. And with a bit more Practice Should hopefully get better shots
Anyway here is my selection
Thanks for taking the time to view

Love all the half shots Rab, Emirates engine close up is very ‘Arty’ , wouldn’t be out of place in a publicity shot . Keep em coming .

Great shots rab. I like the Transat A310 angle and background. I would argue why anyone would want a lens that goes to 500mm as you are never going to get the quality if the aircraft as so far away but I’ve see quite a few people using that lens and they love it. I don’t even use the 200 to 300mm range of my 28-300mm Nikkor lens preferring to use far superior 80-200mm lens at 200mm and just crop it – quality is better. The shorter the range, the higher the quality.
