How Many left??

Sorry its cars !! GOOGLE ” How many left ” & it takes you to a site that you can check out how many Cars of certain makes are left , registered ,on British roads .

Ex: There is only one Austin Maxi 1750 HL Automatic left on the road.

There are three Vauxhall Chevette 3 dr, GL Automatics left.

I checked my own car & found there are only 1018 registered in UK & of those only 90 are the model I have …but I wasnt expecting many anyway , as I have a strange taste in cars …

Going back years but from memory I have had 60 Chev Impala , 64 Chev Impala , 65 Fairlane 500, Rambler 880 Wagon .
In recent years I have been running 56 Dodge Caliber, 08 Jeep Patriot & am currently running 58 Dodge Avenger….

It seems you’ve owned more American cars than I have….:o

The 73 stands out from the 71/72 mainly by the grill & front wings (fenders) unmistakable to the trained eye.

the 71/72 are a little more tricky to tell apart 😉

Having owned & run American cars myself , I know how complicated things can get with years & options.
The pics are all 73 Mustangs ( according to Google ) but no 2 look exactly the same , & of course there was a range of engine options. And imports can be even more complicated.

Going back years but from memory I have had 60 Chev Impala , 64 Chev Impala , 65 Fairlane 500, Rambler 880 Wagon .
In recent years I have been running 56 Dodge Caliber, 08 Jeep Patriot & am currently running 58 Dodge Avenger SXT 2.4 VVTi 4 speed Auto with Autostick. According to the site , I am only one of 90 of this particular model. Dodge pulled out of UK about 18 months ago .

Nowhere on this site does it mention year of manufacture ..

http://howmanyleft.co.uk/combined/mustang

Apparently we have 6 73’s OTR & 6 SORN’d, only had 3 earlier

Although I will concede that year of registration can differ somewhat from year of manufacture

Nowhere on this site does it mention year of manufacture ..

It states that 1281 Mustangs have been Taxed in UK so far in 2011 , plus 6 on Sorn.

the 3 GLX hatches could be any year from brand new 2011 to wayback in the late 60’s .

I think they can only go by what discription of the vehicle is on the Original registration document,

There may be more 73’s out there but described as something else on their Reg.Doc.

ie: there are 411 down just a Mustang Automatic……..some of these could be any year from 1964—2011

Unfortunately the statistics held on that site are not the full picture.

I note from that site there only three 1973 Mustangs on our roads, which is cobblers as there are far more than that! Mine being one of them.
The problem occurs in the way the DVLA records the vehicle model, if it isn’t a regular domestic model, or indeed one they recognise it gets simply labeled as a “Saloon” or such like, for example mine is simply listed as a Ford Saloon, you can get DVLA to change it, but quite simply I cannot be ar5ed.

An interesting study all the same, but would be better based on the insurance data base.

Ha!

Just checked out the car I hated the most, the most wretched, spitful, useless piece of garbage I ever bought. (1982)

The Vauxhall FE 1800 (estate) and was surprised to find there are still 3 survivors in the world today.

Still, thats 3 too many.

Never touched a Vauxhall since and never will.;)
