Interesting BBC article on skeletons found at the bottom of a medieval well in Norwich:

I always enjoy these forensic history programmes on the BBC (as opposed to the ‘BS’ forensic entertainment programmes); somehow seeing the skeletons of our ancestors and learning how they lived and died really brings the more ancient history to life. I have to say though that the image of the skeletons repositioned the way they probably lay in the well is one of the most startlingly macabre images I’ve ever seen.

I have to agree.
My visit to Poland, which included Aushwitz and several other similar sites, it profoundly influenced my views on any issues like this; I firmly believe that if we see genocides and the like occurring today we should take every step we can to prevent it.
