Did LBA-DUB-LBA yesterday on Ryanair as part of a college day out, had a great day. Got EI-DAY both ways which wasnt all that pleasing, no winglets either.
Far too stressed out to write a whole report, so I’ll keep it brief.
Anyway, below are the photos. Enjoy.
Check in at LBA was done by teachers and went fairly quick. Before long, we were in the departure lounge, so I just sat around daydreaming there…

Our flight then arrived and boarded soon after. I hate it on Ryanair how as soon as they announce the gate a free-for-all ensues.
In flight shots.

Over Leeds;

Approaching DUB

We parked up next to an EI 320

Lets play a little game, Spot The Chewing Gum. (ps, wasn’t me ;))

Then we spent the day around Dublin, which I have to say is a bit grotty, apart from the shopping areas. Certainly won’t be visiting any time soon. I hope AMS is better…
Thoughts on the airport, it was decent at most. It’s fairly easy to navigate around, and there’s a good food area upstairs. However, some parts are just way too empty and it reminds me of Middle East airports. Oh, and Irish people are very freaky. Some of em anyway.
Anyway, don’t have much else to say since it’s not aviation related, but had a brill day. Need more of that.
Then, off to lovely Leeds again. Check in was very quick, or so it seemed.
This was taken from the departure lounge (or whatever it was) in Dublin.

Below are some In Flight shots, where we experienced a very nice sunset.

The flight was pretty cool. We went under a good amount of turbulence, was quite fun actually!
Anyway, as we descended below the clouds, we got to see an impressive lights display of Leeds below. The passengers certainly got excited!
We then had a fantastic landing, practically dropping the plane on the runway. Someone mentioned overshooting the runway! 😮
There was nothing much to report after that, but nearly everyone seemed thrilled by the landing, so they all went out in a livelier mood.
We wizzed past passport control etc, and soon after we got lifts etc, and left. All in all, a great day, and was good to be back in a flying metal tube for nearly two years. Last time I flew was MXP-MAN on Alitalia. Seems like ages!
Hope you enjoyed it. Comments would be much appreciated! 😀
I’ll be adding a video or two up soon so keep checking! 🙂
Thanks for reading!

Well, we were complaining at first about no trips, so I guess patience paid off. 🙂

Nice shots! Three aircraft I’ve flown on there….EI-DAY, EI-DAG and EI-DAO. I flew on EI-DAY from Dublin to Cork the other month.

Nice shots and a great little report there! 🙂
I think that’s EI-DAO at Dublin – with the Pride of Scotland titles?
We approached DUB from the other side of that headland a few weeks ago – gives a good view over the city.
