Just a few snaps taken at Kingman Arizona. Most are stored for possible reuse, but there always has been an active salvage side here. This time it’s DHL DC-8’s in their final death throws…

Thanks for IDing all of them. I did recognise the DC-4, DC-8’s and 727’s… Never did know the difference between an MD80, DC-9 and Boeing 717… Not a clue about the rest! Wait until I get round to my Mojave pics. More jets and some are 747’s…

Wow. Nice catches with the DC8’s.
Sad to see all those retired planes. Really sad to see the SAS MD80 sat there, I grew up seeing them at LHR all the time. Those B737’s and Airbuses they send now just aren’t the same.

No idea to be honest. I wasn’t expecting to see any DC-8 left anywhere! There were also some DHL Airbuses and 727’s too. I was hoping for more things with props. Last time I visted there were 4 or 5 DC-4’s there, though it was about 10 years ago…
I have more to add later, when I have cropped them a bit.
I found an article. It seems it was UPS birds, and it was for the CFM56 parts.

Thanks for sharing these pics.
Amazed at the number of Embraer regional jets there…especially in Continental colours!

Something different.
Although, I thought some company had bought all the DHL DC-8’s and spares? Or was it the UPS DC8’s?
