Do any of the sages on here remember a black and white British made movie or TV program, dating around about the late 50s, that was centered around the manufacturing of a fictitious aerorplane. I’m sure the original Mk31 version of the Bristol Freighter was the aircraft used. I last saw this film many many years ago on TV. The scene that sticks in my mind is one where 2 guys are brawling in the otherwise empty cabin of the Bristol, the main cabin door was open as the plane circled over what looked like a typical British suburban landscape. As it was circling overhead, the aircraft was observed by a child in a street below outside a news-agents, undoing what looked like a rocket shaped iced lolly. One of the guys was eventually thrown out the door, and I’m afraid thats where my recollection ends.
Hopefully this ring a bell with someone, or is the only bell that I’m going to hear going to be the one atop the lovely white van thats going to take me away!

Pleasure Sir!
Its a quirky little film, shot at Wolverhampton Pendeford and I believe that the Bristol ‘Frightener’ was damaged during filming !

I’m very grateful sir. I really was starting to believe I’d lost the plot. Ordering it now. Thanks.
