I was sad to learn of his death this week, he is a happy memory from my childhood, and surely blessed with one of the funniest non comedy exchanges in British TV history:
Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart: Hmmm…. Jenkins!
Jenkins: Sah!
Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart: Chap with wings there. Five rounds rapid.
How can that not be funny ?:D

Fondly remembered and I think the longest serving character in the series – he even appeared in the Sarah Jane spin off.
