First Choice, Manchester – Funchal | Pics

Hello, Heres my flight report *TO SEE THE PICS BETTER, CLICK ON THEM*

Well i started my journey at 10:30 am on Sunday 22nd May 2005, by train then we checked in to the hotel Crowne Plaza Manchester Airport, had a great view out of the window, we then set off to the Manchester Airport avation fair, which was ok……?

We then went to the ‘roof’ as we call it, and it was a nice day there were a couple of nice aircrafts in,

After that we went into Terminal 1 to have a sit down and a drink, then a Air Greenland A330-200 landed on 24R which was carring the Manchester United football team home from Cardiff after a resonbilly close defite!!!

that night after i had a bath, lol, i was looking out of my window at bout half 5 i heard on my scanner ‘Malaysian 11 heavy cleared to land runway 24R’ so i rushed to the window and it was drizzling with rain, and the hibicus livery glided beautifully down onto 24R, then i watched a bit of tele and off to bed at 9pm.

It turned 2am and i awoke and got everything ready as i set off for the terminal, we arrived at terminal 2 and it was empty at 3am, there was only 2 people there a check-in agent for First Choice Airways and a cleaner, so we got checked it first and and got seat 11A, which was just before the emergency exit seat, which meant if an unlikly event of a emergency ill be 1 of the first to get out, we got to gate 213 at 5am, and boarding started at 5:25 and everyone was aboard at 5:50 and we was set to go, the captain signed on and said ‘Ladies and gentlemen welcome aboard FCA2104 to Funchal we are going to claimb to an altitude of 36,000 ft and we will be departing shortly’

We set off and before we knew it we was at the runway, infront of us there was a Excel Airways Boeing 737 – 800 G-XLAB departing to Dalaman, we was the second deperture of the day from Manchester, the airport pub;
sorry about the the quality (due to the ice on the fuselage which had defrosted),

We was up at 36,000ft and the weather was good, just some 60 knot winds slowing us down but not that much,
up at 36,000ft;

Then at about 09:15 we started our decent and as we were decending we flew over the Azores then Porto Santo then we had to circle untill a Transavia Boeing 737-800 arrived before us then it was us, then we touched down without a hitch, then everyone got off and i went into the cockpit, thanks to the captain for that! (Cockpit of G-OOAW)

we parked next to the Transavia 737 as well , and a SATA International

then i got off and took a photo of the fuselage,
