Well i’ve just recovered from being awake for 36 hours straight. Since waiking up @ 7am on the Friday morning, for Uni, 1st hit my pillow on the bed last night @ 10pm. Why you say? Well i catched a ferry from Holyhead to 2am, in a bid to fly an A330 from Dublin to Shannon and back! Everything went smoothly, no delays in the air or on the sea!
Here you go the photos, sorry there are quite a few, but its not everyday you fly an A330 for 25 mins 😀

Enjoy….i did! 😉

Cheers James, they use the A330, as its an extention of their trans-atlantic flights. i.e my A330 flew SNN-DUB-ORD-DUB-SNN

Oh and the ferry across was £17, only snag was the 0250 am departure, but the Ulysees is one heck of a ferry! (Largest car ferry in the world)
I saw a documentary about Ulysses it is owned by Irish ferries at first I thought Irish ferries started there own cruise’s 🙂 back to topic nice report and pictures and can i ask why do they use a A330 on the DUB-SNN route.

Do Aer Lingus provide superb service though?
From what I’ve come across – no.
But when referring to a superb airline, I was hinting at Thai. 🙂

Cheers you two!
EI i’ve heard don’t offer “the best” l/h service, but i’ve got to say, they do offer good fares next summer e.g LPL-DUB-JFK-DUB-LPL for £320. you can’t go wrong with that!

Excellent standard of photos my friend, and I just love the way the A330s alieron’s droop! 😀
Fly with an airline that offers superb inflight service and you’ll not notice that you’re missing a little screen of your own.

Excellent photos. I think for €100 return, its average value. A similar length flight with British Airways (say London to Manchester) is almost exactly the same price.
And as for PTVs on long haul flights, I don’t think they are always necessary. The flight to Hong Kong and back went much quicker with one, but my previous flights to Bangkok have mostly been in Economy and without a PTV. Fly with an airline that offers superb inflight service and you’ll not notice that you’re missing a little screen of your own.

This is like a flight we took last year – Penang to Singapore on a 777! About 100 pax and a trip of 50 minutes.
