A few snaps taken over the last few months at work – A mix of images from an iphone and a small point and shoot (hence the up and down in terms of quality).

I-DAVA – A long term resident at Gatwick, now used as a training simulator for anti-terror police.
OH-AFM – Subbing for Monarch earlier in the summer.
B-LBL – A diversion from Luton which stayed with us for around 1 week.
G-EZBB – Something a bit different.
G-EZBB – Being pushed back from a remote stand, heading to Malta on a positioning flight.
G-TCBB – One of the two Thomas Cook, Egypt specials.
G-EZAU – In front of the tower, before heading out almost empty to Aberdeen.
TS-IMJ – Our weekly flight from them.
G-EZTL – Ready for push back on the evening flight to Ibiza.
D-ABBV – Enjoying the “Great British Summer”.
A6-EDL – We had our first official A380 service in the summer. Emirates sent in “Delta Lima” on the lunch time flight as a commemoration of 25 years of service to Gatwick.
G-EZUW – Being examined by the tech guys after suffering a lightning strike whilst on its way in from Malaga.
LY-COM – A new operator for Gatwick over the summer, operating on behalf of Strategic Airlines (Apologies for the quality on this).
G-VSHY – one of two ex-Virgin A340-600s to pass through over the past few months. This one is to be used in part of the testing program for the new A350.
G-EZBA – Before departing to Lyon.
G-EJJB – That “Great British Summer” again…!
OK-HCA – A nice special operating for Iceland Express.
A rare moment over the summer saw all 3 Hong Kong Airlines A330’s on the ground. After the airline stopped flights to Gatwick, they placed all 3 of them into storage here until they could decide what to do with the aircraft. All 3 have now left and are in service, on lease to parent company Hainan Airlines.
ZS-AOL – Another new resident at Gatwick this summer, replacing the older G-V.
A6-ESH – Another of the well known Gatwick residents.

I agree with the other posters, it’s so refreshing to see photos of subjects other than static and landing airliners. Well done that man! Oh, the quality is nothing to be ashamed of at all! 🙂

Lovely livery for COSMO…never heard of them, do you have any info about them at all?
Sad to see that Hong Kong Airlines flights didn’t last that long…that’s two operators who have now tried LGW-HKG, and both have ended up pulling out or going bankrupt (OASiS Hong Kong)…perhaps the competition from other operators at LHR (CX, BA, VS, NZ) is just too strong!:(
I was at work at LHR on the day that UA8 went into LGW, it was originally going to divert to BRU, but they changed it to LGW at the last minute. It stayed at LGW for about 2hrs and came into LHR approx 4.5hrs late…passengers seemed quite happy though, apart from those that had onward connections from LHR!

B-LNK – This was the last Hong Kong Airlines A330 to leave us.
LY-COS – As of late this has been another regular on most weekends. I heard yesterday that they have bought Iceland Express, so I would imagine we’ll be seeing more of them at Gatwick in the future.
LY-SKW – This has been a regular over the summer months, operating out to Greece on charters for Small Planet Airlines.
N577DA – One of our many biz visitors.
G-VINE – One of the newer VS A330’s in service. It was originally leased to Ryan International as N771RD.
I-SNAW – Another bizzy visitor.
LY-FLH – Awaiting its next mission.
G-VROM – One of the many based VS 747’s.
G-VYOU – Positioned in from Amsterdam a few weeks ago to operate a one off charter to Orlando and back.
HL7598 – One of the newer, regular airlines operating out of Gatwick.
G-EUPM – One of our recent diversions – en route to LHR from AMS. Seen here being readied for push back for its return to Heathrow.
EI-ERH – After Strategic Airlines went bankrupt due to loosing its contract with Olympic Holidays, Livingston picked up the contract and now use this A320 on services to the Greek isles from Gatwick.
G-PJLO – One of our regulars, resting between flights.
N17126 – Another recent fog related diversion. Newark to Heathrow (UA8) – seen here departing to LHR.
EI-DCL – Ryanair’s Dreamliner.
9Y-LHR – And after some time of using chartered Omni Air 767’s, Caribbean Airlines finally sent us one of their own!
9M-MMI – A recent diversion at LGW – En route to Kemble for scrapping, but due to fog came here.
