Just wondered what people thought of this and if someone could be prosecuted for making a joke (even an unfunny one).

I quite often offend people with my quips and one liners..the Mrs tells me not everone thinks what i say is amusing because i’ve a strange sense of humour..i’ve quite often offended some of the lads on this forum over the years

its not what you say its how you say it!
i read the article but i dont know what the suposed joke is? i crack funnies all the time (face to face), infact i even completed a perfect Norman Wisdom trip twice at my wedding, and managed to make the vicar lose his train of thought while doing a reading, the church was buzzing with laughter (and so it should be).
people should not be prosecuted for telling funnies unless the funnies were racist…..then it makes them funnier.

but the appeal has now been turned down and regardless of the taste of the joke it really is an overreaction to a harmless situation.

I think there was a thread about this many months ago. Before trying to be funny in public it’s probably a good idea to engage the brain first.
