Unfortunately most photos are backlit, but still we had a nice ride over Sheremetyevo’s patforms.
We also had a quick visit at the nearby aviation university. They’ve had quite a clean up over there. Two years ago they had ten or so planes, now only four remain. They have scrapped a Tu-154B-2, Yak-40, Il-62 and two Mi-8s.
The IL-18 monument outside the old Sheremetyevo terminal has been broken up. According to scramble it will be moved to Chornoye.
We started our tamp tour at the Aeroflot platforms, here we saw five out of nine Aeroflot SSJ’s.
At the same ramp stood this DHL Tupolev. Normally I can’t be bothered with seeing DHL during my holiday, I work at DHL so I see them enough during office hours, but for a Tupolev I gladly make an exception!
Old plane or not, this one was having its interior outfitted.
The following shots where taking from the coach. We were not allowed onto this ramp, because it is the FSB (KGB) ramp. Still a big improvement on two years ago when photography was strictly forbidden.
We were allowed to leave the coach again at the FSB’s neighbour’s ramp.
In a few days I’ll add a thread wtih Vnukovo shots. We did not get a ramp tour at the airport this time, only at the VARZ400 maintenance fascility.

Brilliant! You’re so lucky.
If only…
had I already mentioned some @$$H0!€ Russian stole my camera and both spare lenses? I’ve got insurance on the lot, so replacing it won’t hopefully be a big deal, but I did loose 6GB worth of photos.

Some brilliant shots. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the RF- prefix used before. Probably best that we don’t know what the FSB Ilyushins get up to;)
