The Electric Jag

Pasted from Yahoo news.
The styling of it looks great too.
<>
Shock electric supercar has 780bhp and hits 205mph.
– Jet style engine turbines recharge the batteries for a 560-mile range.
– Just 28g/km CO2 emissions, yet does 0-100mph in 5.5 seconds.

There’s every chance that Jaguar has stolen the Paris show with this, the C-X75 electric supercar concept. It’s truly the win-win car, mating astonishing claimed performance with true eco credentials. And just look at it…

What’s all the fuss about?

The power and torque figures are as amazing as the sleek bodywork: 780bhp and 1,180lb.ft. It will crack 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds and 50-90mph in a face-melting 2.3 seconds. It could be the future of Jaguar and the future of the supercar itself – if so, that future can’t come quickly enough.

Even I would go for that.

From an earlier thread

I’m guessing that the idea will resurface some day soon as a gas turbine / electric hybrid with the turbine running at constant speed and merely providing electric power for the wheels and battery charging.

A real mean looking machine, but only a ‘concept’.:(
