Hi all,
Wondering what mobile networks other forum members are on, and if anyone can offer some advice as I’m looking to get a new mobile phone (Nokia N8;)), but seeing as I have only ever been with one network (Virgin) since I have had a mobile, I am gonna have to change to either O2 or Vodafone.
Both are offering the same package (600mins, ulmtd texts, ulmtd internet) at the same price of £35/mth, so it comes down to a reliability issue between the network providers as to who gets my custom.
I have a friend who recently bought an iPhone on Vodafone and he says that their internet service is “very hit and miss” as he suffers a lost connection on quite a regular basis, so this would point me towards O2, but I am struggling somewhat to choose which is the better out of the two?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated?

avoid vodafone like the plague , once used them and thier billing was unusual to say the least !!
i’m now on o2 and no grumbles !!
I am on Vodafone and so are my family and we have had no problems whatsoever with the service. Coverage and reliabilty have been excellent.
I have us O2 as well on contract and had been since they were Cellnet and I have had no grumbles with their service.
I have a couple of friends on Orange and they have had coverage issues.
Mrs TGR has used T-mobile and had a lot of problems with their customer service though

I’ve just gone over to O2 on contract. Too many signal problems with Orange around here.
And yes, as far as i’m concerned avoid Vodafone like the plague.

im with orange and will be for the forseable future –
Since orange and T mobile have mergef (or something like that)
From next year orange and T mobile will share their reception – IE where T mobile has signal that orange doesnt, orange will be able to and vice versa 🙂
Orange do me the best contract deals too 🙂

I have been with Virgin Mobile since I first got a mobile phone about 6 years ago or so, all my immediate family are also on the Virgin network and we are very happy with it.
As for Vodafone and O2, I don’t actually know many people on Vodafone, however my friends who are on O2 seem to always speak very highly of them so I would suppose you are unlikely to run into many issues with them. You never know with these things though, so looks as if you might have to choose one and hope for the best!

Lost connections are an iPhone feature, nothing to do with the network
Only with the iPhone 4.

It shouldn’t. Lost connections are an iPhone feature, nothing to do with the network
