Help with Lock On

Hi guys and girls,

I have had ‘Lock On’ in my PC Games collection for some time now but have been struggling to play it without a flight sim controller. I have recently purchased the Guillemot/Hercules Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS Joystick after reading many good things about it, however I am having difficulty. For example, when I set the ‘Lock On’ input options to buttons on the controller, many of the buttons I have selected don’t seem to work…even though they work fine on IL2. When for example I set Button O (the main trigger) to fire this function does not work during the game (and I get shot down without firing a shot). Please help

start lock on as normal…then go into options within the game and find your joystick settings and see if they show up there, there should be a section where you can set the buttons again…that should work

let me no how you get on, if it doesnt work that way, your joystick may not be compatible with the game

Configuring the game doesn’t seem to be the problem, the options menu recognizes the controller I’m using and allows me to dedicate buttons on the controller to the games functions such as gear down, change weapon etc. but when it comes to using these functions in the game it’s like the game doesn’t register that I’m pushing these buttons. As I have said, the controller works fine on IL-2 so it’s not faulty. Am I missing something because I know the Lock On is quite complex in terms of radar modes and so on
