I have a week off work so brought my bike home and went for a wee ride up the wey south path/Wey+Arun canal northwards out of Pulborough,W Sussex !
2.5 hours of hell for my legs but very enjoyable 😀

My original aim was to reach the pub at Loxwood 😀
but north of the aqueduct the path changed from being a bridleway to a footpath and after lifting the bike over about 5 stiles I gave up and turned south, but it was far enough anyway 😉
These pesky airstrips get everywhere 😉

The Wey/Arun canal project is a long term one and if some of this southern section looks a little neglected – I guess the building of the road bridge at Loxwood is absorbing much of the funding at the moment,at Lordings aqueduct I guess they have to also build a new section to cross the main river stream also ?
Haybarn Swing Bridge,I believe this originally was on the Leeds/Liverpool canal and has been very nicely restored here.

Adjacent to the swing bridge is this nice little bridge over the river Arun
